5-Storey Hotel Building Collapses In Ibadan, Southwest Nigeria – SaharaReporters.com

A five-storey building under construction has collapsed in the Awosika area of Bodija, Ibadan, Southwest Nigeria.

It was learnt that the building collapsed early on Thursday morning while details of the incident were still sketchy at the time of filing this report.
 
It was however learnt that seven persons had been rescued from the rubble alive, though injured.
 
There is no report of any death so far as first responders sieve through the rubble to check for any sign of life.
 
On Sunday, a seven-storey building also collapsed in the Lekki area of Lagos State, about 120 km from Ibadan.
 
The death toll from the incident has risen to six.
