A Major General and former Provost Marshal of the Nigerian Army, Hassan Ahmed, has been killed in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, DAILY POST is reporting.
The online news platform said the attack on the General and those in his vehicle took place in Abaji area.
According to the credible online news platform, Ahmed’s attackers also kidnapped a woman in his vehicle, identified as his wife.
Another report, however, said the woman was the General’s sister.
A source close to the family told DAILY POST that the couple were coming from Okene in Kogi State when they were attacked.
The source told DAILY POST: “They opened fire on his vehicle, he died.
“The driver pretended to be dead from the wound he sustained, so they took the wife away.”
