An Eldoret lady is lucky to be alive after being attacked by gun-wielding assailants on her way home.
In the Thursday, September 22, 1am incident, the lady and her friend were driving home, but on reaching Moi Girls High School, unknown men on a motorbike attacked them, shooting in their vehicle.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Eldoret-based businesswoman, who sought anonymity, said after the shooting, the lady, who was unaware of what was happening, stopped the car.

The attackers, in turn, forcefully tried to open the car doors. Sensing danger, the lady resolved to speed away.

After the lady accelerated, the men pursued them on a motorbike.
She decided to drive into the DC's offices which are normally manned by police officers who, in turn, saved them.
The business lady lamented that there are increased insecurity cases in Uasin Gishu, especially in Elgon View and Kapsoya.
She said the gunmen mostly ambush revellers heading home late in the night.

In other news, a man in Kapseret, Uasin Gishu county found himself in trouble with the law after attacking an opponent who defeated him in a pool game.
The pool game between Calvin Kiprotich, 24, and 25-year-old Douglas Chepng’etich turned into an altercation after Kiprotich failed to take his losses kindly.
According to a statement from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Chepng’etich outwitted Kiprotich in several rounds of the game at a poolroom in Kaburwa estate.
